On behalf of the organizing committee, we welcome you to the next Transgenic Technology meeting to be held in Toronto, Canada October 27-29, 2008.
We are proud to be able to present you with an impressing list of world class invited speakers including Gordon Keller, Robin Lovell-Badge, Andras Nagy, Janet Rossant, Davor Solter, Philip Soriano, Andrzej Tarkowski and many more.
We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of the most outstanding scientists in the field of mouse embryology, Dr. Anne McLaren. She will be greately missed, not only during the TT2008 meeting, but in the entire worldwide research community.
The TT conferences has become the most relevant international forum for new techniques and developments within the field of mammalian transgenesis, focusing on the interest of technicians, students and scientists working in this area. Last years meeting was the first to be organized on behalf of the International Society for Transgenic Technologies (ISTT). This year will be the eighth of the TT series, the first one to be held on the North American continent.
Right after the meeting, we will organize a short workshop on MGI bioinformatics as well as a hands-on course in the Tetraploid Complementation Assay (TCA) technique. For more information, please visit the respective links.
The official language of the meeting will be english (translation will not be available). We will do everything in our power to accomodate delegates with special needs. Please contact us in case you would require assistance of any sort.
